falavra is a desktop application designed with privacy as a core principle. All transcription processing happens locally on your device using Whisper AI (sherpa-onnx). We do not collect, transmit, or store your audio files or transcription results.

Audio & Video Processing

falavra downloads YouTube audio to your local machine and processes it entirely on-device:

Audio files are never uploaded to our servers
Transcriptions are stored only on your local device
We have no access to your content at any time

Data We Collect

Purchase Information

When you purchase a Pro license, your email address and payment information are processed by Stripe. We store your email and license key to manage your license.

License Validation

When activating your license, falavra sends your license key and a device identifier to verify activation. We store the device ID to manage your 3-device limit.

Website Analytics

Our website uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool:

Anonymous page views and click events
No personal data or cookies are used
You can block analytics with any ad blocker

Third-Party Services

Stripe — Payment processing for Pro license purchases
Resend — Transactional email delivery (license keys, support)
Supabase — License key and newsletter subscriber storage

No Tracking in the App

The falavra desktop application does not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking. It does not phone home, check for updates without your consent, or send any data about your usage.

Data Retention

License information is retained as long as your license is active. Newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by contacting support. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
